Flare Handpan was born in the sunlight of summer 2014 when the very first prototype got its baptism of fire. Since then, many more attempts and failures paved the way through the wonderful art of handpan building and tuning, to achieve its unique sound and appearence. Each instrument is built with passion and dedication, precise tuning, long note sustain and strong brilliance. Neverending research is still going on to achieve my ideal sound and the perfect hand touch, as well as to increase the structural and aesthetical quality of the Flare Handpans.

Flare Handpans are built in the Campi Flegrei (Fire Fields) area, west of Naples, a place where a giant flat vulcano and the Mediterranean sea blend together. Since the Greeks and Romans times this place was the stage of great heros and magic legends. Fire and water have shaped a land of charm and spell, sophisticated smells and refreshing sounds. They engraved this fascination in the voice of singers and in the melodies of players. Music is in the soul of Naples and its sweet melodies are famous all over the world. The same flavours and fascinations are today contributing to the refined and peculiar sound of the Flare Handpans.
